China to Raise IT Exports with Tax Incentives
March 31, 2006
China's National Development and Reform Commission recently stated that China will aim to raise the share of IT exports to 35% of total exports by 2010, from 28.6% in 2005. In order to achieve this goal, the Chinese government has come up with several plans, including more favorable tax policies for computer, telecom, and IC companies. It is expected that Chinese companies with own-branded products will account for over 15% of total Chinese IT exports in 2010.
